I am officially 40 and Fabulous now!  It honestly doesn't feel any different.  I did have a great birthday with dinner out and I got a fantastic camera like I wanted.  I also want to thank all of my friends for all the birthday wishes.  I miss you all TERRIBLY.

There have been many articles about me lately in the papers about my TOtY award, so that's been nice.  It makes me feel validated for what I do and HOW I do it, since I generally choose to go the non-traditional route.

I've been peeking around on Facebook lately out of curiousity to see all of my brother's photos (no, I am not on my real name there and don't ask for my alias since I'm really not supposed to have a Facebook according to BIG BROTHER) and it's very interesting to see several people that I went to high school with who were so full of themselves back then.  I also have to snicker at how many of them have HIT THE WALL.  Ha!  I think I look pretty good for 40, but I can't say that for many of them!  Anyway, many people on FB lately have been posting their 25 random facts, so I thought I'd do that here and I will try to post NEW things that you don't already know.

1.    I HATE winter and I have no desire to ski.  EVER.
2.    I do not eat fish or seafood of any kind.  Unless it's a tuna sandwich and I will eat that.  with lots of mayo, though.
3.    I can procrastinate better than most people.  More than most people.
4.    I was not nervous at all on my wedding day and even the minister commented on it.  I was as cool as a cucumber.
5.    I worry more than anyone else I know.  You name it, and I worry about it.
6.    Since menopause, I cannot sleep well unless I take an antihistimine or nyquil.
7.    I get a massage on a regular basis since I DESERVE IT.
8.    I love music and need to listen to it more so it will put me in a better mood.
9.    I have a better marriage than most people I know.
10.  I still have a scar on my right shin from passing out from my pulmonary embolism.  I like my scar.  It reminds me how close to death I came.
11.   I was a waitress in college and I hope I never have to wait tables again.  People, in general, are not nice to wait staff.
12.  My college years were some of the best years of my life.
13.  I own more books than anyone I know.
14.  My teeth are one of my best features.  They should be considering how many YEARS I wore braces.
15.  Sometimes I would rather read a magazine than a book.
16.  My left thumb is permanently screwed up thanks to my brother who slammed it in the bathroom door when I was 4 and he was 1.
17.  One of my pet peeves is people who do not use correct grammar.  The biggest peeve...when someone says "I seen that..."  THAT is like NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD to me.
18.  I worry about how much some people annoy me.  Do these people annoy anyone else as much or am I hypercritical?
19.  I have only been ice skating one time in my life and I did not do well.
20.  I love pretty office supplies like really nice folders, cute paperclips, etc.
21.  I am obsessed with finding the perfect handbag.  Still haven't found it yet.
22.  I have never had strep throat.  I hope I never get it.
23.  I have also never had food poisoning and have never broken a limb.  But cancer?  Yeah, I got that one covered.
24.  If I could wear pajamas all day, every day, I think I would.
25.  I am going to be a godmother again for my best friend's baby who should arrive late next month; I plan on spoiling that baby rotten.
